The New York State Office of Children and Family Services, Bureau of Training now offers FREE online Mandated Reporter Training in child abuse and neglect/maltreatment identification. This 2-hour web-based training is fully narrated and interactive and features learning exercises customized for the Child Care profession. As you complete each 10-15 minute section, the application saves your progress and allows you up to 30 days to complete the entire course.
This course meets the NYSOCFS's mandatory requirements for Training in Child Abuse Identification and Reporting. A certificate of completion is sent online to person's completing the course. It is a credit for 2 hours of training on this topic.

This one-hour training can count toward the 30 hrs of required training for any provider or day care employee who chooses to take it. A certificate will print out for those who finish the course. It is a one hour training. The online training covers both Shaken baby syndrome (#9) and the child abuse and maltreatment identification and prevention(#6).
