Agriculture Literacy Week is March 18th-22nd! The signature book for 2019 is On The Farm, At The Market by G. Brian Karas. In this book readers find out what must happen before food can get to our table to nourish our bodies and spirits.
This year our book is geared for K through 3rd grade.
Once your classroom has registered that they would like to participate, a volunteer will contact you to arrange a day and time to come in, read the book and do a activity. The whole program lasts from a 1/2 hour to 45 minutes. In February volunteers will be contacting teachers directly to coordinate dates and times.
In the past some schools have a specific volunteer that has read to them. If you would like to request a specific reader there is an opportunity to do so.
All school requests must be in by January 16th! This allows enough time to order books, supplies and arrange volunteer readers.
