Cornell Cooperative Extension Oneida County together with NYS DEC ReLeaf Council and Master Gardener Volunteers are sponsoring a hands on tree transplanting workshop on Wednesday, October 3rd starting at 9:30am. (the workshop end time is TBD by how quickly we can get the trees transplanted)
NYS DEC Foresters will begin the workshop inside with a presentation on the basics of tree transplanting.Following the presentation, we will go outside and transplant apple trees to a new location on the grounds.This workshop is free to the public.Please RSVP to Terri Harrison if you plan on attending at (315)736-3394 ext. 168 or register at the following linkĀ Tree Transplanting Workshop.
Dress for the weather (bring gloves and hat) and be prepared for hands on learning, helping to dig the trees out from current location and transplanting them to new location.
