No other program in 4-H is more respected than 4-H Public Presentation and Horse Communications. Providing youth the opportunity to share thoughts and ideas is one of the key youth development opportunities that 4-H offers. That being said the fear of public speaking is listed as the number one fear that adults have. This fear can hinder both personal and professional opportunities.
Participating youth may advance to the District, State and even National events as they have in the past.
On the registration you will be asked to select a time for your presentation. We will do our best to honor your request. However, please understand that we rely upon volunteers to be evaluators and their time is valuable. You may be required to shift your time if there are large gaps in the schedule due to low participation. Presentations are scheduled approximately every 20 minutes or every 10 minutes for Cloverbuds presenting on 3/16 at the CCE Office.
This year we are offering several locations and dates for Horse Communications.
2/4 at Boonville Elks Club (~6:00pm, not judged, limited slots available)
2/11 at CCE in Oriskany (~6:00, not judged, limited slots available)
3/21 at CCE in Oriskany
3/28 at Boonville Municipal Commission in Boonville
