With Harvest 2020 Complete: Let’s Talk Bunk Management

For many Central NY dairy producers the tasks of harvesting, hauling and storing the 2020 forage crops are complete. Exceptional management of hay crop silage and corn silage inventories plays a significant role in overall herd health and production, minimizing shrink and influences a producers’ cost of production.

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oneida County invites all interested dairy producers and dairy nutritionists to attend The Dairy Forage Harvest 2020: Let’s Talk Feed Out Management event scheduled for Thursday November 12, 2020 from 11am until 2pm. This on farm event will take place at Collins Knoll Farm, L.L.C. located at 9499 Elm St. in Chadwicks, New York.

Guest speakers from Lallemand Animal Nutrition, Tony Hall and John Brouillette, will be addressing the following objectives: Forage quality assessment tools, why it’s important to run those forage analyses; fermentation interference and tips to diagnose failed fermentation issues and the importance of a consistent feed out strategy.

To ensure the safety of all participants, we will be practicing social distancing and will have masks available. There is no fee to attend, but you must register in advance by calling 315-736-3394 ext. 132. Registrations allow us to contact you in the event of cancellations.
