The Child Care Council educates parents and families by providing information and a personalized list of New York State regulated child care programs in Herkimer, Madison, and Oneida counties. Our specialists match child care needs to local licensed/registered child care programs and provide information and education on how to select the child care program that will best meet their family's needs. Our goal is to empower parents and families to feel educated enough to make an informed decision and select a quality child care program that works for their individual needs.
Contact the Child Care Council using the information below to obtain a listing of New York State regulated child care programs in your area. Our referral specialists will ask for specific information about your family's child care needs including the age of children, the days and times you will need care, the location where care is needed and the type of child care program you would prefer. Since finding a child care program is not a 'one size fits all' problem, our specialists do not recommend or endorse any child care program. Instead, specialists educate parents on the various types of child care there are and provide them with tips on choosing a child care program.
Our referral specialists match needs with New York State Licensed/Registered child care homes and centers in your requested area, such as near work or near home. You will receive a list of programs in the mail, emailed, and/or faxed to you along with your information on what to look for when selecting child care.
