The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oneida County Master Gardener Volunteers invite you to attend the Spring Garden Fever educational event! Join us for a day of hands-on workshops to get you ready for your 2024 garden. The following sessions will be offered:
9am-10am "No Space Too Small for Tiny Hands" presented by Ellen Olson
Learn how to engage young children in gardening practices year round with this engaging presentation.
10:15am-11:15am "Gardening in a Small Space"
Whether you're downsizing a large garden or starting your first garden from an apartment balcony, this session will show you how to create a beautiful, bountiful garden in a small space.
11:30am-12:30pm "Start Your Seeds"
Time to get yours hands dirty! Join us during this session for a facilitated discussion and demonstration on how to start seeds to grow. During this session we will be planting seeds into trays that you will take home to start for the 2024 season. Your registration fee includes the seeds, tray and soil that you will receive during the session to take home.
All sessions are geared to beginner-level gardeners but all experience levels are welcome.
Light refreshments and snacks will be available during and between sessions for registrants. In addition to the sessions, all are welcome to browse educational displays onsite and purchase our famous Herbal Baked Goods made by the Master Gardener Volunteers.
$10 for one session or $25 for all sessions
