Thursday, March 26 - Camden Library - 5:30 pm - Get Ready to Garden! - Whether you are a beginner or an experienced gardener, join this gardening 101 presentation to start your garden off right this season. Understand what a garden needs, basic design concepts, garden zones and microclimates as well as the importance of good soil, what's out there to plant, and how to plant. Learn the proper way to fertilize, mulch and water to help your garden thrive!

Thursday, Mary 7, 2026 - Camden Library - 3:00 pm - Herbs: Colorful Plants for Any Garden - Herbs are wonderful plants, easy to grow, naturally resistant to pests and important nectar and pollen sources for pollinators. Herbs can also be colorful, landscape plants: in the garden, raised beds, or in containers. With delightful scents, attractive shapes, and beautiful colors, you can use herbs to make a garden that appeals to all the senses!

Thursday, June 18, 2026 - Camden Library - 3:00 pm - Container Gardening for Flowers and Food - Learn about the basics of gardening in containers. This presentation will include plant selection for flowers, herbs, and vegetables. There will also be a on-the-spot demonstration.

Thursday, October 15, 2026 - Camden Library - 3:00 pm - Gardening with Bulbs - Fall is time for bulbs! What is a bulb and when and how do you plant them? Learn about these fascinating plant machines and discover ways bulbs add character to your landscape. Learn about the different classes of bulbs, and understand how to purchase, store, plant, and care for them. Bulbs for “forcing” and how to do it will also be discussed.

The clitellum or collar of the jumping worm goes all the way around the body and is smooth. The worms are very active and have a sheen to them. When disturbed, the jumping worm (amyhthas agretis) will actively trash and flip, slither snake-like, and may shed their tails.
