Join the Child Care Council of Cornell Cooperative Extension in collaboration with CCE Herkimer for our next training to help child care providers prepare for emergencies. Food security is a critical aspect of disaster preparedness. Having an emergency food security plan is vital for safeguarding health and building community resilience. Emergencies like floods, tornadoes, and storms can disrupt food security in a diversity of ways. This workshop aims to equip individual households and community organizations with the knowledge to enhance food security during emergencies.
This is a free training that will give training certificates, resources, a cookbook and items to help participants prepare for emergencies. Food will be served during the training. All child care providers (including Legally Exempt and Assistants) are welcome to attend for free.
