Child Care Provider Training from Project Wild and Project Wet, Pre-K and K-2 settings, in partnership with the NYS DEC
The
Child Care Council presents Madison County's Nature-Based Super
Saturday. This is a free training for Child Care Providers, featuring
2.5 hours of free training and a lunch provided. This training is open
to all licensed/registered child care providers and legally exempt child
care providers.
During this session, we invite DEC Educators to
come and work with participants on the Project Wild and Project Wet
curricula! Growing Up Wild is an early childhood education curriculum
that builds on children’s sense of wonder about nature and invites them
to explore wildlife and the world around them. Through a wide range of
activities and experiences, GUP provides an early foundation for
developing positive impressions about the natural world and lifelong
social and academic skills. Getting Little Feet Wet contains 11
interactive, hands-on activities for young learners to explore different
aspects of water – from water properties to water sounds. Each activity
offers both pre-K and K-2 options and is correlated to the respective
educational standards. Participants will leave with a copy of both GUW
and GLFW curriculum books.
