Eating local fresh produce from community farmers' markets is satisfying. Oneida County now has more farmers' markets and more ways to pay for local farm products to make supporting our farmers even easier. Search the linked sites to find farms to shop from or visit, and support your local farm economy.
The Oneida County Public Market was established in 2011 by County Executive Anthony Picente, Jr. Established as an economic development initiative with the primary goal of creating the first year-round produce market in downtown Utica, a community classified as a food desert by the USDA. The dual focus of this initiative included the revitalization of the Railroad Express Agency (REA) wing of the Union Station where our outdoor market is held every Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Check out ourĀ OCPM Website andĀ OCPM Facebook to stay up to date on all things market related!
