Cornell Cooperative Extension 4-H Program offers resources and incubator rental services to help you get started on this exciting journey.

Egg Incubator Rentals

Cornell Cooperative Extension provides egg incubator rentals to families, schools, and organizations interested in hatching eggs. These incubators are essential for maintaining the proper environment for eggs to develop and hatch successfully. Here’s what you need to know about renting an incubator:

  • Availability: Incubators are available for rent on a first-come, first-served basis. It's recommended to reserve your incubator well in advance.
  • Rental Period: Typically, the rental period aligns with the incubation cycle of the eggs, which is about 21 days for chicken eggs. Extensions may be possible depending on demand and availability.
  • Cost: A fee of $20 covers a 30-day period, with $10 refundable upon the incubator's return in its original condition.
