Expand Your Child Care Business with MCCYN-PLUS Funding

Program Overview: The Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood-PLUS (MCCYN-PLUS) program provides child care providers with a unique opportunity to support military families while accessing funding that can help grow their businesses. This program, funded by the U.S. Department of Defense and facilitated by Child Care Aware® of America, offers fee assistance to licensed, high-quality child care providers who serve eligible military families in their communities. By participating in MCCYN-PLUS, providers can expand their reach to military families who rely on affordable, accessible care when on-base options aren’t available.

How MCCYN-PLUS Benefits Providers: Approved MCCYN-PLUS providers in New York can enhance their business with a consistent customer base, as military families seek care that meets the MCCYN quality standards. Providers also gain visibility on platforms like MilitaryChildCare.com, where military families search for child care options eligible for fee assistance. This additional exposure can help increase enrollment, create a steady revenue stream, and connect your business with families who need reliable, high-quality care.

Eligibility and Requirements: To qualify for MCCYN-PLUS, providers must meet New York State’s licensing standards and be enrolled in QUALITYstarsNY or hold a Department of Defense-approved national accreditation. These requirements ensure that providers deliver the quality of care that military families need and trust. Joining QUALITYstarsNY also gives providers access to financial incentives, professional development resources, and personalized coaching at no cost, enhancing their ability to maintain a high standard of care for both military and civilian children.
